Kaeyra (Caroline Baran) is currently 23 years old. She was born in Chicago, but her roots are purely Polish. She has been living in Los Angeles for the past five years, where she collaborates with many well-known producers and musicians. Kaeyra has participated in numerous musical events and vocal competitions in the U.S. and Poland.
She took part in the 13th edition of America’s Got Talent and received 4 “yes” votes from the judges: Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Mel B. Simon Cowell said about her, “you are star material.”
Kaeyra records a variety of musical material. In addition to her own songs, she has jazz versions of tracks with the band Postmodern Jukebox. One of the songs she recorded with the band—Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”—which has accumulated over 15 million views.
In August 2022, she was invited to one of the biggest festivals in the U.S., Lollapalooza. She is the first vocalist of Polish descent to perform at this festival since its inception.
In September 2022, she decided to try her luck in the 21st season of American Idol, which aims to find the most talented singers. The competition is judged by Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan. After many auditions, Kaeyra made it to the Top 20 finalists. Throughout the program, she proudly represented the Polish community and spoke about her Polish roots.
Kaeyra’s newest single “Sour” is breaking popularity records not only in Poland but also abroad. Since its release on July 19, the song has consistently remained on the Airplay Chart, currently holding the #2 spot for the third week in a row. The track has also repeatedly topped the charts of major Polish radio stations. On Spotify, “Sour” has nearly 3 million streams, and the music video has been viewed over 1.5 million times. As befits a hit, the song has entered the rankings of the most popular tracks on streaming services, including in Poland, France, Sweden, and Cyprus (Apple), as well as in Armenia and Tajikistan.
